Following an Instagram contest that generated more than 30 entries, The Mob Museum, The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, announced the winning name for The Underground distillery’s artisan copper-pot moonshine still: “Virginia Still.” The name provides a playful twist on the name of one of the more intriguing and notorious organized crime figures with a Las Vegas connection, Virginia Hill.
The Underground takes visitors on an uncommonly vivid journey back in time: Situated discreetly in the basement of the Museum, Guests of The Underground are encouraged to ponder the time when consuming alcohol was not only a criminal act, but also bred secret watering holes–some of which became the most glamorous places to be.
To celebrate the grand opening of The Underground Protected by Zappos, its new Prohibition history exhibition, The Mob Museum, The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, announces an Instagram contest to name the distillery’s artisan copper-pot moonshine pot still.
