Time: Friday through Sunday from noon to midnight and Monday from noon to 10 p.m.
Location: The Underground speakeasy and distillery
Cost: $12 each
Description: For a limited time, guests can enjoy three distinctive Halloween-themed cocktails in The Underground.

  • Dating back to Harry’s New York Bar in Paris in the 1920s, the Bloody Mary, assumed to be named after Queen Mary I of England for her dark legacy, has continued its reign on bar menus for decades. This Halloween, guests can enjoy the Ghost of Bloody Mary, a translucent take on this flavorful cocktail prepared with vodka, clarified tomato juice, horseradish and beets.
  • Like many popular American cocktails created during Prohibition, we have a wine-making ban to thank for the creation of pisco, Peru’s signature spirit. The Itsy Bitsy Sour, inspired by the pisco sour which was the name of the 1920s jazz song by Tod Demuth, is crafted with pisco, guava, Aperol, fresh citrus juice and egg whites.
  • The history of a “smash” dates back to Jerry Thomas’ 1862 book “How to Mix Drinks” and “The Bon Vivant’s Companion,” which was reprinted in 1929 during Prohibition. The Smashed Pumpkins is a unique take on the bourbon smash incorporating bourbon, pumpkin, lemon and soda water.

ABOUT THE UNDERGROUND
The Underground is an immersive Prohibition history exhibition featuring a speakeasy, distillery and private VIP room in the basement of The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. Artifacts from the 1920s and 1930s tell the intriguing story of the Prohibition era, which not only saw a proliferation of bootlegged booze and the meteoric growth of organized crime outfits but also had a profound, lasting impact on society, specifically making way for modern cocktail culture. A seasonal cocktail menu gives guests the opportunity to try contemporary takes on classic Prohibition-era cocktails. The menu and atmosphere have landed the speakeasy on several “best cocktail bars in Las Vegas” lists. Distillery tours allow participants to learn about Prohibition and its impact on a variety of spirits and drinking habits while tasting a few of the Museum’s moonshines. The distilling program has received various accolades, including Best Moonshine at the 2020 International Whiskey Competition. Complimentary entrance to The Underground is granted at the secret side door to visitors who know the password, which is published daily on Instagram Stories @MobMuseum_Underground.
