LAS VEGAS (October 2023) –The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, and The Underground speakeasy and distillery are offering a host of gift options in advance of the 2023 holiday season. Gifts include one-of-kind fine art paintings, collectibles, moonshine, books and more. They are perfect for friends and family members who love history, pop culture, Las Vegas and the topics’ intersection.

All items are on sale at the Museum or on the Museum website now.

Ashley Miller, vice president of marketing, communications and sales says, “This holiday season, The Mob Museum has an exceptional array of gifts, ranging from unique fine art paintings capturing the essence of organized crime and law enforcement in pop culture, to authentic casino collectibles and award-winning house-distilled moonshine from The Underground speakeasy and distillery. Whether you’re seeking a fun and distinctive present or exploring more exclusive items for serious collectors, our curated selection, both onsite and online, offers something for everyone.”

One of the most popular gift categories in recent years: art & collectibles. This year, The Mob Museum is offering several original fine art paintings from Las Vegas artist Chuck Joseph, who uses palette knives to sculpt paint on canvas. The available works reflect organized crime in pop culture: one of Walter White or Heisenberg from “Breaking Bad,” another of titular character Vito Corleone from “The Godfather” and a work of the ‘Funny How?’ scene from “Goodfellas.” The paintings vary in size and range in price from $1,800 to $2,400. Other gifts in this category include an authentic Aladdin Casino Chip Set ($1,500), a chess and whiskey gift set ($55) and various individual chips, card decks and dice from Las Vegas casinos of the past.

Another popular gift category: food and beverage—especially house-distilled moonshine from The Underground speakeasy and distillery. The newest flavor, house-distilled Huckleberry Hideout Moonshine, recently received two prestigious awards in the 2023 Central Coast Wine and Spirits Competition. This latest iteration joins other flavors of house-distilled corn whiskey moonshine, including those that debuted during the 2022 holidays: The Goodfella’s Vanilla Moonshine and a limited-edition holiday Peppermint Moonshine. Distilled in a custom-made copper pot still, these selections complement the Museum’s other notable moonshine varieties, including its Signature Moonshine and the gingery citrus blend of the Ginger Jake Moonshine. Each flavor of moonshine is available in 750mL and 50mL sizes starting at $8.95 and purchase options vary from individual jars to customizable, airline-friendly three-packs and even the limited-edition Merry Moonshine Holiday Wreath. Guests 21 years or older can browse the Museum’s selection of moonshine in person and online. For guests purchasing moonshine online, orders must be picked up in person at The Underground.

Books are always a popular holiday gift item and The Mob Museum has an extensive collection in various genres: Las Vegas history, organized crime history, modern and true crime and music. The Mob Museum also offers several cookbooks, including “Trejo’s Cantina ($28), “The Wise Guy Cookbook ($20), “The Prohibition Bakery” ($19.95) and “The Corleone Family Cookbook ($39.95). Buying books from a local museum, instead of an online retailer, helps to support and sustain a nonprofit.

The Mob Museum offers other holiday gift items, including drinkware such as shot glasses, Vegas-inspired mugs and travel cups, as well as stocking stuffers such as ornaments, keychains and more. Finally, for Vegas locals who frequent The Mob Museum and The Underground, annual Museum Memberships are a great gift option and represent a gift that keeps giving throughout the year. Memberships come in several different categories and are available for individuals and families; prices start at $45 apiece.

ABOUT THE UNDERGROUND
The Underground is an immersive Prohibition history exhibition featuring a speakeasy, distillery and private VIP room in the basement of The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. Artifacts from the 1920s and 1930s tell the intriguing story of the Prohibition era, which not only saw a proliferation of bootlegged booze and the meteoric growth of organized crime outfits but also had a profound, lasting impact on society, specifically making way for modern cocktail culture. A seasonal cocktail menu gives guests the opportunity to try contemporary takes on classic Prohibition-era cocktails. The menu and atmosphere have landed the speakeasy on several “best cocktail bars in Las Vegas” lists. Distillery tours allow participants to learn about Prohibition and its impact on a variety of spirits and drinking habits while tasting a few of the Museum’s moonshines. The distilling program has received various accolades, including Best Moonshine at the 2020 International Whiskey Competition. Complimentary entrance to The Underground is granted at the secret side door to visitors who know the password, which is published daily on Instagram Stories @MobMuseum_Underground.
