THE MOB MUSEUM ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER PROGRAMS AND PROMOTIONS
LAS VEGAS (October 2021) – The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, announces its roster of public programs for November.

Community Safety Forum: Vegas Strong Resiliency Center
Date: Sunday, Nov. 7
Time: 2 to 3 p.m.
Location: Inside the historic courtroom on the second floor. A livestream of the presentation will be available on the Museum’s website. To RSVP to attend in-person or for the livestream link, click here.
Cost: Free. Thanks to NV Energy, pre-registered guests are given free admission to the Museum following the event.
Description: The Vegas Strong Resiliency Center was established after the mass shooting on Oct. 1, 2017. The center, operated by multiple agencies, assists individuals affected by the tragedy. It has received national recognition for its service and dedication to victims of crime. Guests are invited to learn more about the services provided by the Resiliency Center and its plans for the future.
Each month, The Mob Museum partners with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and other local agencies to host Community Safety Forums – free public programs focused on pertinent issues that affect Southern Nevada. Thanks to NV Energy, pre-registered guests are given free admission to the Museum following the event. The Mob Museum will also provide a recording of this presentation on its website.

G-Men in the Desert: The 60th Anniversary of the Las Vegas FBI Field Office
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 9
Time: 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Cost: Free for Museum Members or with Museum admission. In addition, the Museum will offer complimentary tickets for current or retired FBI agents.
Description: Marking the 60th anniversary of the FBI’s Las Vegas Field Office, retired and current agents will discuss high-profile cases from the early 1960s to the current day. The local FBI presence has grown from a handful of agents to more than 130 today. Over the past six decades, the Las Vegas Field Office has investigated an array of cases, from murders, bombings and kidnappings to political corruption and the Mob’s infiltration of the casino industry.

Kefauver Day: Free Museum Admission for Nevada Residents
Date: Monday, Nov. 15
Time: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Location: Throughout the Museum’s four floors.
Cost: Free Museum admission for Nevada residents with a valid ID. Tickets are buy-one-get-one free for non-local residents.
Description: As part of The Mob Museum’s commitment to community mission and in celebration of Kefauver Day, the Museum will offer free admission for Nevada residents. To commemorate the day, guests can take photos with the legendary mobster Al Capone’s life-size statue as well as learn about the Museum’s volunteer and employment opportunities. In addition, guests will receive 10 percent off food and beverage inside The Underground speakeasy. Guests may obtain their free admission in person at the Museum box office on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kefauver Day commemorates the U.S. Senate investigative hearing into organized crime that took place in the Museum’s courtroom in 1950. Named after Senator Estes Kefauver of Tennessee, the Kefauver Committee hearings were televised nationwide and brought organized crime into the living rooms of many Americans for the first time. Held in 14 U.S. cities from 1950 to 1951, the Kefauver hearings were pivotal in the national fight against organized crime, as well as events that influenced the development of Las Vegas.
