BOULDER CITY, NEVADA (July 2021) – Rail Explorers Division Manager Heather Abel received the Goldie Begley Energizer annual award for 2021 from the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce on June 24. Each year, this honor goes to a member of the Boulder City, Nevada, business community who enthusiastically goes above and beyond their role while inspiring others to succeed. Abel received her award from the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce CEO Jill Lagan and other chamber executives.

 “It is an unexpected honor to win such a prestigious award and I am extremely humbled,” said Abel. “Boulder City is my home. I love our community and working with our outstanding team at Rail Explorers.”

Abel has been working with Rail Explorers since December 2020. This past year she has added several new tours to the Rail Explorers schedule and has partnered with businesses in the community to bring awareness to Boulder City, Nevada. Prior to joining Rail Explorers, Abel oversaw advertising, special events, community partnerships and program development as strategic partnerships manager for The Las Vegas Monorail Company.
