NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 2026) – Play Playground Nashville, the most playful social game experience and bar located just off downtown’s Broadway, announces its first-ever Backyard Games Weekend, bringing the atmosphere of a classic backyard party to Music City throughout Labor Day weekend. Taking place Friday, Sept. 4 through Monday, Sept. 7, the four-day celebration will feature an adults-oriented party complete with tournament-style games, live entertainment, themed food and beverage offerings and friendly competition inspired by neighborhood barbecues.
Throughout the weekend, guests can test their skills in cornhole and beer pong tournaments, challenge friends in hourly team competitions and enjoy a lively atmosphere fueled by a live DJ. Additionally, Play Playground’s interactive game room features larger-than-life games and hands-on challenges, blending nostalgic favorites with high-energy competition. The destination has become a go-to spot for things to do in Nashville, encouraging guests to move, laugh and lean into the moment together.
Attendees can also enjoy $20 beer buckets, two hot dogs and chips combos for $8, and 16-ounce watermelon NÜTRL seltzers for $11, offering the perfect lineup for a long weekend of friendly competition and rooftop celebrations.
To attend the Backyard Games Weekend, guests may purchase general admission or VIP Play Passes; access to the destination’s rooftop bar is always free.
Admission to Play Playground is 21+ with a valid I.D. after 7 p.m. During Labor Day weekend, Play Playground Nashville will be open Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to midnight, Sunday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Monday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit playplayground.com.
