WHAT:
On Wednesday, April 17, The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, welcomed its 4 millionth visitor, marking a significant milestone in its history. The 4 millionth guest, Kathi Bellucci joined by husband Glen of Arizona, received an extraordinary prize package, including lifetime admission to the Museum, a ceremonial key, exclusive merchandise, a cake and a champagne toast symbolizing the Museum’s appreciation for the public’s continued interest and support. 

Additionally, hundreds of guests posed for a unique photo opportunity throughout the day with a custom thematic line-up plaque in front of the Museum’s lineup wall. 

FAST FACTS:
Since its opening in 2012, The Mob Museum has: 

  • Rehabilitated and repurposed Downtown Las Vegas’ former U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. 
  • Received accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums, affirming adherence to the highest industry standards and commitment to excellence. 
  • Received the Historic Preservation Award by City of Las Vegas and Mayor’s Urban Design Award for Historic Preservation and Adaptive Reuse.  
  • Become the most visited museum in Nevada, with an annual attendance of more than 400,000 guests from all 50 states and 36 countries. 
  • Underwent a capital improvement project in 2018 that resulted in new exhibits including the addition of The Underground speakeasy and distillery, the Crime Lab, Organized Crime Today and more. 
  • Provided free admission, promoting accessibility and reach, for 36,155 Nevadans. 
  • Engaged in award-winning community outreach impacting more than 50,000 students and seniors. 
  • Delivered more than 350 public programs featuring authors, journalists, researchers and members of law enforcement. 
  • Received exceptional guest reviews, awards and accolades such as recognition as the “Best Museum in Nevada” and a “Top Workplace” on more than 15 occasions.
