DARK” EVENT EXPLORING THE ART OF WRITING, FRIDAY, OCT. 9

LAS VEGAS (September 2026) – On Friday, Oct. 9, the National Atomic Testing Museum will host its next “Radiation After Dark” (RAD) event exploring the art and craft of writing with bestselling author Bruce Borgos and acclaimed screenwriter and author Michael Frost Beckner. Additionally, guests can explore the museum’s galleries after hours and enjoy light bites and refreshments.
Attendees will learn about the creative writing process and discover how to find inspiration, navigate the publishing industry and bring stories to life for audiences around the world. Whether guests are aspiring writers, avid readers or simply curious about storytelling, the evening will inspire and entertain with fascinating insights from these accomplished authors.
Borgos is the USA Today bestselling author of the Porter Beck Mystery Series and two other novels. “The Blue Horse,” the third installment in the series, won the 2026 Will Rogers Medallion Award for Western Mystery.Beckner is the creator of “Spy Game,” the Robert Redford-Brad Pitt espionage classic, and the CBS series “The Agency.” His latest novel, the espionage saga “Kaleidoscope,” was published in May 2026.
“A defining part of our RAD event series is the opportunity to hear directly from distinguished guest speakers in an intimate, after-hours setting,” said Matt Malinowski, director of education, Atomic Museum. “This October, Bruce Borgos and Michael Frost Beckner will take guests behind the creative process and share insights from their accomplished careers in publishing, film and television.”
