LAKE MEAD MOHAVE ADVENTURES TO INSTALL BRAND-NEW FLOATING FUEL STORAGE FACILITY AT CALLVILLE BAY MARINA
New System to Ensure Ongoing Fuel Access as Water Levels Change
Boat Fuel Temporarily Unavailable Nov. 7 Through 28 at Callville Bay Marina
LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA (November 2022) – Lake Mead Mohave Adventures (LMMA) announces a brand-new floating boat fuel storage facility to be installed at its Callville Bay Marina location this month. Once completed, the system will ensure boaters have access to gas now and for years to come, despite the ever-changing water levels at Lake Mead.
As a result of the new system’s installation, from Monday, Nov. 7, through Monday, Nov. 28, boat fuel will not be available at Callville Bay Marina. LMMA encourages boaters to visit its other marina locations for fuel at Lake Mead and Lake Mohave, including Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina, Temple Bar Resort & Marina and Willow Beach Marina & Campground.
“With water levels constantly fluctuating, we needed to come up with a creative solution to ensure boaters always have access to fuel,” said Chad Taylor, director of sales and marketing, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures. “This system renovation will allow us to transform our existing stationary fuel station into a floating structure to adapt to current conditions.”
