Lake Mead Mohave Adventures to Host Boat, Car Show with Boulder City Cruisin Association at Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina, March 21-22

LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA (March 2026) – Lake Mead Mohave Adventures (LMMA) will host the 3rd Annual Hot Boats & Cool Cars at Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina in partnership with the Boulder City Cruisin Association on Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, March 22, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The two-day event features a combined car and boat show both days, with trophy presentations at 1:30 p.m. Sunday and prize giveaways throughout the weekend.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Lake Mohave, the family-friendly event will showcase an array of vehicles ranging from 1930s street rods to modern Mustangs and Ferraris, alongside a display of performance boats and recreational watercraft.

In addition to the show, guests may tour the facilities as part of a Cottonwood Cove open house, explore the full-service marina, learn about boating and fishing opportunities, and view hiking trails, RV sites and campgrounds. Tours of a rental houseboat will be available, and complimentary boat rides will be offered. Free hot dogs will be served from noon to 2 p.m. both days.

Saturday evening will feature a live band following the show, so attendees can also look forward to enjoying music and dancing under the stars.

Sunday’s programming includes trophy awards, large-scale giveaways and prizes provided by Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina, including a two-night, three-day houseboat rental, small boat rentals and more.

“This event brings people together in a setting that highlights some of the finest classic cars and boats, while showcasing everything Cottonwood Cove has to offer,” said Lisa Duncan, senior director of operations, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures. “It’s an opportunity to step away, enjoy the outdoors and experience boating, camping, music and community all in one weekend.”

The event is free and open to spectators. A $25 entrance fee into the National Park Service area applies unless visitors hold an annual pass. All activities are scheduled rain or shine.

Guests are encouraged to make it a weekend getaway with on-site lodging options including the Cottonwood Cove Motel, Houseboat Hotel, RV parking and campground accommodations. Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina is open year-round and is located approximately one hour from Las Vegas at 10000 Cottonwood Cove Road in Searchlight, Nevada.
