LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA (February 2026) – Lake Mead Mohave Adventures announces its popular Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures will return to its full operational schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 25, marking the start of its 43rd season. Beginning that day, visitors can experience the Canyon Classic River Tour and Postcard River Tour every Wednesday through Sunday. Groups can also book Private Charter tours again this season.

Both tours offer memorable journeys along the Black Canyon National Water Trail on the Colorado River, with up-close photo opportunities at the base of the legendary Hoover Dam. Traveling through the spectacular canyon aboard motor-assisted inflatable rafts, guests enjoy an immersive, eco-friendly experience where storytelling, environmental stewardship and wellness intersect. Along the way, expert guides bring the canyon to life, describing its dramatic geology while pointing out native plants, desert bighorn sheep and migrating birds such as osprey and great blue herons.

Canyon Classic River Tour
This three-hour guided, smooth-water rafting tour invites guests to slow down and connect with Black Canyon’s history, echoing the era of the dam’s construction in the 1930s. Guests begin their journey at Lake Mead RV Village for check in at 9:30 a.m. before embarking on an adventure-packed, three-hour rafting tour that concludes at Willow Beach Marina & Campground. Return transportation is provided via air-conditioned tour buses over the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. Boxed lunch options are included, with vegetarian and gluten-free meals available upon request.

The Canyon Classic River Tour is free for children four and under, with pricing starting at $110 for children ages 5–15 and $125 for guests 16 and older. Optional round-trip transportation from Las Vegas hotels is available at a cost of $69 per person.

Postcard River Tour
Designed for visitors short on time, the Postcard River Tour delivers a highlight-reel experience of the Hoover Dam and Black Canyon in just 90 minutes. Guests begin their journey at the Hoover Dam Lodge in Boulder City, Nevada, with check-in at 10:30 a.m., before embarking on a 3-mile loop along the majestic Colorado River beneath towering canyon walls. Floating at the base of Hoover Dam, guests enjoy up-close views of the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge and the dramatic canyon that frames this historic stretch of river. The tour concludes with a return by air-conditioned shuttles back to the Hoover Dam Lodge, making this a relaxed and addition to any itinerary without a full-day commitment.

The Postcard River Tour is free for children 4 and under and starts at $49 for children ages 5-15 and $69 for guests 16 years or older. Snacks and beverages are included. This season, round-trip transportation to and from the LINQ Hotel is also available for $50 per person for Postcard Tour guests.

Private Charters
Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures also offers private, customizable charters for groups of all sizes, perfect for corporate events, family outings, and special gatherings. Starting at $1,780, these exclusive river experiences give guests the flexibility to select their preferred departure time, explore Black Canyon aboard a private raft with a dedicated guide, and enjoy curated drinks and snacks or a catered riverside lunch buffet at Willow Beach Marina & Campground.

“For more than four decades, we have welcomed guests onto the river for moments that feel timeless and personal,” said Chad Taylor, director of marketing and guest experience, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures. “Seeing Hoover Dam—an absolute marvel of engineering—from this vantage point isn’t just something you see. It’s a moment you remember forever.”

This spring, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures will announce a new river tour and  series of special, limited availability rafting dates for later this season, expanding opportunities for guests to experience the Colorado River in new ways. Additional details will be announced soon.
