EMPORIUM ARCADE BAR ANNOUNCES LIVE ENTERTAINMENT IN AUGUST

DJ Performances Every Weekend in San Francisco and Oakland

WHAT:
Emporium Arcade Bar, the lively venue known for its classic arcade games, colorful, fun-loving atmosphere and renowned drink menu, announces DJ nights throughout August.

Located at 616 Divisadero St. in San Francisco and 1805 Telegraph Ave. in Oakland, Emporium Arcade Bar offers guests a variety of games, including classic arcade favorites, pool tables, pinball, foosball and many more. Open for guests ages 21 and older, Emporium Arcade Bar is free to enter every DJ night. All performances take place from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. The schedule for August follows:

SAN FRANCISCO
DJ Thomas Young
Date: Friday, August 6
Description: DJ Thomas Young always strives to offer the perfect blend of funky programming and ear-pleasing techniques to crowds all over California. Playing truly open-format sets, he is known for artfully combining today’s newest hits with timeless club classics.

DJ Weapon
Date: Saturday, August 7
Description: DJ Weapon is a Billboard-charting producer famous for entertaining partygoers all over the Bay Area. His open-format style is guaranteed to keep everyone dancing.

DJ HVFF
Date: Friday, August 13
Description: DJ HVFF is a local performer and producer offering an open-format approach to his sets. Catch him every Saturday evening from 10 p.m. to midnight on 97.7 KWIN.

DJ maDRE
Date: Saturday, August 14
Description: Hailing from San Francisco, DJ maDRE brings an eclectic mix of styles including hip hop, rap, Bay Area rap, soul, funk, electronic, future bass and international sounds to her sets.

DJ Jose Melendez
Date: Friday, August 20
Description: DJ Jose Melendez began his musical career in the Bay Area in 1991 and is a crowd favorite in clubs, bars and at events around San Francisco. On weekends he performs on Wild 94.9 as one of the station’s longest running mix-show DJs.

“Vibes & Vids” featuring DJ William Stokes
Date: Saturday, August 21
Description: DJ William Stokes will mix eclectic sets with videos appearing on Emporium’s 50-foot projection screen for “Vibes & Vids.” DJ William Stokes prides himself on his wide-ranging style and being a self-taught mix master. Previously DJing at parties and concerts with Diplo, Lil Jon, DJ Snake, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg and more, he is known for getting the crowd moving.

DJ Proof
Date: Friday, August 27
Description: Heavily influenced by funk, soul, hip-hop, disco and house, DJ Proof’s sound caters to the discerning dance floor. His mixes, known for their global flavor and seamlessly crossing genres, continue to create buzz among music lovers.

DJ Baysik
Date: Saturday, August 28
Description: Crafting his own sound ranging from Latin to old-school party classics and future classics, DJ Baysik has performed all over the country in cities such as Hollywood, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Portland, Santa Cruz, San Francisco and more.

OAKLAND
DJ Lady Ryan
Date: Friday, August 6
Description: Known for the energy exchange she shares with her crowds in every song selection and tune she sings, Lady Ryan’s talent crosses the board from vinyl to digital showcasing her deep knowledge of breaks, soul, Latin, hip hop, funk, Reggae, Afro-beat and Top 40. 

DJ Sean G
Date: Saturday, August 7
Description: Born and raised in San Francisco, Sean G has been a fixture in the Bay Area nightlife scene for more than ten years and is a mainstay at concerts, clubs and dance parties. Specializing in hip hop and R&B, Sean is also proficient with dancehall, funk, soul, Afro-beats and house genres and always guarantees to keep the dance floor packed.

DJ Franchise
Date: Friday, August 13
Description: Mixing all things classic, future and past, DJ Franchise masters the divide between meticulously measured beats and feeling out a live crowd. His passion for purely good music, particularly hip hop and soul, has led him to perform all over the Bay Area as well as Brooklyn, Los Angeles and more.

DJ Juan G
Date: Saturday, August 14
Description: DJ Juan G gets crowds on their feet as he plays the best of Afro-beats, Reggae, dancehall classics and more. With an emphasis on highlighting current musical movements in urban Africa, Juan G also works as the head of African content and curation for Pandora.

DJ Sake One
Date: Friday, August 20
Description: Sake One has been a major player in the Bay Area hip hop and music scene since the early 90s, opening for mega artists such as Mos Def and Kanye West. More recently he was appointed as DJ on the Bay Area’s most notable throwback station, Q102.1.

DJ B-Style
Date: Saturday, August 21
Description: Native to Oakland, DJ B-Style is heavily influenced by disco, electronica and hip hop records along with the hypnotic sounds of R&B, funk and soul of the 1970s and 80s, 90s and beyond.

DJ Saurus
Date: Friday, August 27
Description: Featuring lively, open-format sets comprised of multiple genres, DJ Saurus brings 25 years of musical experience to Emporium.

DJ maDRE
