WHAT:
On Thursday, June 16, Emporium Arcade Bar celebrated its 10-year anniversary with live performances by the American hip hop duo The Cool Kids, rap group Air Credits and DJ Archi at its original location in Wicker Park. 

Guests danced throughout the evening to some of Chicago’s top artists while enjoying Emporium’s vibrant interior filled with artistic murals and classic arcade games. The venue also offered 10-year anniversary merchandise to commemorate the occasion. The event held at Chicago’s longest-running arcade bar was powered by 321unes and sponsored by Malört, Jugrnaut, Pipeworks Brewing and Cash Drop.

Since opening in Chicago in 2012, Emporium Arcade Bar now has six locations: three in Chicago (Wicker Park, Fulton Market and Logan Square), two in the Bay Area (San Francisco and Oakland) and one in Las Vegas (AREA15), plus a seventh location in New Orleans set to open in early fall.

In 2020, when the pandemic shut down Emporium’s five existing locations for more than a year, its expansion plans continued unabated. Emporium Arcade Bar not only withstood the pandemic, but also expanded into another market during that challenging time. It opened its Las Vegas location in February 2021, where it was recognized among Hottest Bar Openings by The Spirits Business magazine. The company has since reopened all its locations, and business has bounced back robustly.
