CONSTRUCTION OF THE WORLD’S LARGEST, PERMANENT BAR
MADE OF ICE TO BEGIN NOV. 9

Nearly 100 Tons of Ice to be Used to Create
ICEBAR at The LINQ Promenade Opening this December in Las Vegas

WHAT:
Construction on the world’s largest and permanent bar made solely of ice will begin Nov. 9. When completed on Nov. 24, ICEBAR at The LINQ Promenade will be 1,200 square feet, kept at 23-degrees Fahrenheit and made from nearly 100 tons of ice shipped to Las Vegas from Canada and Minnesota.

Once the 650 blocks of ice arrive in Las Vegas, 12 professional ice carvers will work around-the-clock to construct the ice bar and create stunning sculptures to fill the space, as well as a 10-foot-by-10-foot operational bar. Highlights to include:

  • Statues of Vegas Golden Knights players wearing jerseys and holding pucks and sticks. An interactive experience will be created for guests to hit pucks into nets.
  • As a nod to Caesars Palace’s rich history – a true-to-life statue of Evel Knievel and a television running a loop of his historic ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jump over the fountains in 1967. Additional Roman elements to include columns, Roman soldiers’ heads and shields.
  • A library and a “working fireplace” with a window showing snow falling “outside.”
  • 12-foot ICE angel wings for the popular Instagrammable moment.
  • A North Pole scene, just in time for the holidays.

WHO:
ICEBAR is the new, immersive ice attraction coming to The LINQ Promenade at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip this December. A project by Noel Bowman of Minus5 Ice Experience, ICEBAR will offer a distinctively chill vibe for people of all ages, with signature frosty cocktails served in glasses made entirely of ice for guests age 21 and older. An exciting option for private and corporate groups, ICEBAR will have a capacity of up to 500 guests in indoor and outdoor space. For the general public, it will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

FUN FACTS:

  • Twelve ice carvers will construct the bar, each with an average of 25 years of experience.
  • Each block will weigh 250 pounds, requiring four men to lift and hoist into place.
  • The ice was created by utilizing a special process that removes all air bubbles, resulting in the clearest ice possible.
  • ICEBAR will consistently be kept at 23-degrees Fahrenheit with a technologically advanced climate-control system that can make continuous adjustments to account for body heat or changes in humidity.
