BLOOD DRIVE TO BE HELD AT SOUTHFORK RANCH, FEB. 28
WHAT:
Media are invited to cover the blood drive being held at Southfork Ranch, in partnership with the American Red Cross, on Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. With blood banks facing critical shortages due to the pandemic environment, every donation counts. NOTE: donors were required to register in advance and all spots are full at this time.
Each donor will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies and receive a free tour pass for Southfork Ranch ($16 value) to use any time within one year and a $5 Amazon gift card.
The American Red Cross and Southfork Ranch have implemented additional precautions to ensure the safety of donors and staff, including:
- Requiring all involved to wear a mask.
- Checking temperatures of staff and donors beforeentering a drive to make sure they are healthy.
- Providing hand sanitizer for use before the drive, as well as throughout the donation process.
- Following social distancing between donors including entry, donation and refreshment areas.
- Increasing enhanced disinfecting of surfaces and equipment.
- Emphasizing the importance of appointments to help manage the flow of donors at drives.
