LAS VEGAS (February 2026) – The National Atomic Testing Museum invites the public to Atomic Stories on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 12 p.m. Martha DeMarre, a Museum founder and Nevada National Security Site archivist, will present the program in the Museum’s auditorium.

In military terminology, a “Broken Arrow” refers to an accident involving a nuclear weapon or its components that does not risk triggering nuclear war. During this program, attendees will discover the real stories behind incidents in Greenland and Spain as well as learn how U.S. agencies trained at the Nevada Test Site to prepare for nuclear accident response. Through historical records and firsthand accounts, DeMarre will shed light on how these high-stakes events were managed and what they reveal about Cold War preparedness.

The event is included with Museum admission. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit atomicmuseum.vegas.
