LAS VEGAS (August 2025) – The Atomic Museum announces it will present a powerful and moving virtual event featuring the testimony of a Hiroshima bombing survivor. Held in collaboration with the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, the event will take place on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. PST on Zoom and YouTube.
The online event will be moderated by Matt Malinowski, director of education at the Atomic Museum. During the session, virtual attendees will have the distinctive opportunity to engage directly with the guest speaker by posing questions through the Zoom chat feature in a live Q&A session.
“This August marks 80 years since the atomic bombing of Hiroshima – an undeniably pivotal moment in global history,” said Matt Malinowski, Atomic Museum director of education. “Firsthand survivor accounts offer a human perspective that cannot be found in textbooks alone. Preserving and sharing these stories is essential to ensuring future generations understand the lasting impact of nuclear events.”
Registration for this online event is free. Guests can register via Zoom here or watch the livestream on the museum’s YouTube channel here.
