AREA15 RECEIVES NEVADA BUSINESS AWARD AND CITY OF
LAS VEGAS MAYOR’S URBAN DESIGN AWARD

LAS VEGAS (May 2022) – The immersive art and entertainment district, AREA15, recently received The Newbie award from the inaugural Nevada Business Awards as well as the Building and Environment award presented by City of Las Vegas. These victories recognize AREA15’s dedication to constantly evolving their entity while surpassing the challenges posed by the economic ups and downs over the past decade. 

The Nevada Business Awards exist to recognize Battle Born businesses for their efforts and to applaud their hard work. The awards are for those that are still standing, working better and are most adaptable to change. Nevada Business Awards consist of eight distinct categories from micro enterprises to Business of the Year. Each category has three finalists in northern Nevada and three from southern Nevada. Finalists were chosen by two groups of judges representing both ends of the state and were selected from nominations submitted on their behalf.

The Mayor’s Urban Design Awards were created by Mayor Oscar B. Goodman in 2006 to encourage and recognize quality urban design principles that foster Las Vegas’s commitment to sustainability and livability. The four categories for project nominations include: Buildings and Environment, Public Places, Public Art and Historic Preservations. Winners are recognized by the mayor at a public ceremony near the start of the year.
