AREA15 INTRODUCES “SLEEP15” VIDEO SERIES TO ENCOURAGE RELAXATION, OFFER AMUSEMENT DURING QUARANTINE
LAS VEGAS (April 2020) – AREA15, the experiential retail and entertainment complex opening in 2020, introduces a series of guided meditation videos to encourage relaxation and amusement during quarantine. AREA15 Chief Creative Officer Michael Beneville created the series, titled “SLEEP15,” and provides the voiceover narration for each video. Marlon Bulaong of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, winner of AREA15’s recent digital-content-creation contest, provided visuals for the videos.
The first video in the series takes viewers on a celestial journey with the quirky Atlas Haverford, who guides listeners on a playful going-to-sleep meditation into outer space. Each tongue-in-cheek video takes on a different theme designed to offer levity and fun during social distancing. In the second video, Elvis Presley—ukulele in hand—joins Atlas Haverford to sing a bedtime song with a familiar tune.
“There’s nothing like laughter to get us through hard times.” says Beneville. “We try not to take ourselves too seriously and hope the SLEEP15 series offers everyone a fun distraction.”
AREA15, located minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, is the world’s first purpose-built experiential entertainment complex offering live events, immersive activations, monumental art installations, extraordinary design elements, unique retail, ground-breaking technology, bars and eateries and much more. With a growing collection of dynamic destinations including Emporium, Oddwood, Dueling Axes, a culinary experience by Todd English and its anchor experience, Meow Wolf Las Vegas. AREA15’s ever-changing art, retail and entertainment attractions will draw locals and tourists of all ages when it opens in summer 2020.
AREA15 represents a collaborative venture between real estate development firm Fisher Brothers and creative agency Beneville Studios, both of New York.
