AREA15 ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OF EVENT SALES TEAM
Four New Staff Members Added as Las Vegas’ New Immersive, Event and Entertainment Venue Prepares for Grand Opening
LAS VEGAS (June 2019) – AREA15 – Las Vegas’ new immersive entertainment, retail and dining destination, offering 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space ideally suited for corporate events, private parties and much more – announces the new event sales team with diverse backgrounds and decades of industry experience in the Las Vegas market.
A tremendous response has already occurred with interest and bookings of the event spaces. Meeting and event planners are attracted to the unique qualities of the space and close proximity to the Las Vegas Strip. There are numerous private events reserved for this December and AREA15 is currently accepting bookings starting in January 2020. (Click here for additional information regarding AREA15’s space.)
Chief Executive Officer Winston Fisher adds, “To be successful, it’s imperative to assemble a team representing the best in class and that is exactly what we have accomplished with whom we have selected to be part of our event sales team.”
For the new staff members joining AREA15, they are as follows:
RYAN KRUGER, MANAGING DIRECTOR EVENTS AND ENTERTAINMENT
Ryan Kruger brings his forward-thinking approach, aptitude for business and 25 years of entertainment industry experience to AREA15. In his position, he is charged with overseeing all entertainment and events hosted at the complex. Prior to joining AREA15, Kruger created or co-created numerous world-renowned music festivals including The Digital Dreams Music Festival, The World Electronic Music, ÎleSoniq Music Festival and Further Future. He also founded Electronic Nation, the electronic music division of Live Nation Canada. Most recently, he co-launched a new music festival called Vujuday in Barbados. Kruger is known for his work with Live Nation and Destiny Events Productions.
JOSH BARO, SENIOR SALES MANAGER
Josh Baro brings his successful track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. In his new role, Baro focuses on booking events in the complex’s unique spaces. Before joining AREA15, he was an event sales manager and part of the opening team for Topgolf. Prior to that, he handled all sales for Airstar America where he was the sales assistant. He was also at Caesars Entertainment where he was charged with the lead concierge. Baro received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas went on to complete his master’s degree in forensic psychology from California Baptist University.
GEORGE JARAMILLO, EVENT OPERATIONS MANAGER
Possessing a rich background in event planning from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles and for nearly 10 years in Las Vegas, George Jaramillo is now charged with executing event operations at AREA15. Previously, Jaramillo was at Wynn Las Vegas where he was an event manager for luxury dining and special events. He also brings extensive club experience as Jaramillo has worked numerous, top grossing nightclubs in the world including XS and Encore Beach Club. During this time, he produced private events featuring Grammy award-winning artists such as Bruno Mars and Keith Urban and worked with an extensive roster of Fortune 500 corporate clients.
TARA ENGLER, COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AND PROGRAMS MANAGER
Since AREA15’s creative inception, Tara Engler has been with the team serving in various capacities such as the senior project manager and now as the community partnership and programs manager. As AREA15’s grand opening gets closer, her role is expanding to include community outreach which entails cultivating meaningful relationships and cross-promotional partnerships within the local community. In addition, she is building an enhanced philanthropic presence in Las Vegas by proactively reaching out to Southern Nevada-based organizations to develop partnerships for 2020 and beyond. Engler brings more than 15 years of travel and tourism experience. She moved to Las Vegas from the East Coast where she served as a production coordinator for Disney Theatrical Productions; destination services manager for NYC & Company and client relations and studio manager for Beneville Studios, AREA15’s current creative agency.
