HOOVER DAM RAFTING ADVENTURES ANNOUNCES TOURS WITH SANTA IN DECEMBER

LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA (November 2025) – Lake Mead Mohave Adventures (LMMA) is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved holiday tradition, “Rafting with Santa,” aboard Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures’ motor assisted rafts. This joyful 12-mile journey down the Colorado River offers families, couples and all outdoor enthusiasts a one-of-a-kind way to celebrate the season. Guests are invited to join in this magic time of year surrounded by majestic canyon walls, sparkling water and the holiday cheer of Santa and his merry crew. Rafting with Santa will run Wednesday, Dec. 17 through Sunday, Dec. 21 and again on Christmas Eve, creating unforgettable holiday memories for guests of all ages.

The holiday-themed tour includes:

• Special Holiday pricing
• Family Bundle: $250 for three guests (two adults and one child; children ages four and under are free)
• Add-ons: Additional adult – $99 | Additional child – $75
• Couples Special: $199 for two adults
• Adult + Child Deal: $175 for one adult and one youth
• Individual Pricing: Adults $100 /youth $88
• Santa Claus and his helpers piloting rafts on this smooth-water river adventure.
• Ground transportation provided by one of Santa’s elves from Lake Mead RV Village.
• A special Christmas gift (The inaugural collectable Christmas ornament)
• Boxed lunch with souvenir cooler bag and bottled water for a picnic stop along the way.
• Complimentary hot chocolate, candy canes, Christmas music and an opportunity for photos with Santa at Willow Beach Marina, where the river trip ends.

Tours will begin near the base of Hoover Dam aboard a motor-assisted raft. Guests will also receive the opportunity to learn about the history, desert wildlife and beauty in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River.

“‘Rafting with Santa’ combines the wonder of the holidays with the awe of the great outdoors,” said Chad Taylor, director of marketing and guest experience, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures. “It offers an extraordinary perspective of the Colorado River few get to see, especially with Santa as your guide.”

The “Rafting with Santa” tour departs at 10 a.m. and includes three hours spent on the river. Guests are asked to check in by 9:30 a.m. at the Lake Mead RV Village, located at 268 Lakeshore Road, Boulder City, NV 89005.

Adult admission does not include the $15 National Park entrance fee. For adult passengers holding National Park, Golden Age, Eagle or Access passes, the $15 entry fee will be waived. Round-trip transportation to and from Las Vegas hotels is also available for $69 per person.
