LAS VEGAS (April 2024) – 1923 LIVE at Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas announces its official entertainment lineup. As a new iteration of 1923 Prohibition Bar, which is currently open daily inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, 1923 LIVE located above Minus5° ICEBAR in Grand Canal Shoppes will feature captivating ticketed live performances on the weekends and private event bookings throughout the week. Slated to open to the public this May, 1923 LIVE will feature an intimate speakeasy magic show as well as a yacht rock experience (70s soft rock) tribute act beginning Friday, June 7. 

As 1923 LIVE’s hidden speakeasy magic and comedy show, Legerdemain will shuffle close-up magic with comedy and rich storytelling in a new experience performed for small audiences. One of the rarest tickets in town, the show is engaging and the audience isn’t just watching, they are part of the show. Additionally, custom cocktails are weaved into the captivating performance. The show, presented by the award-winning HKM/KDP Productions in partnership with renowned producers Adam Steck and Alex Schechter of SPI entertainment and 1923 partner Noel Bowman, created by American magician, actor, television host and theatrical producers Jonathan Levit and Benjamin Schrader. The truly intimate experience will be limited to 60 guests. Showtimes will be 6 and 7:30 p.m., Friday through Sunday. “Preview-priced” tickets are now available at www.1923lv.com. Later in the evening, 1923 LIVE transforms into the ultimate yacht rock destination, where guests are invited to kick back and relax with the golden era of soft rock hits from the 70s and 80s. Led by three-time Grammy Award nominee Kevin Sucher, The Docksiders – Yacht Rock Experience will be the resident musical group at 1923 LIVE. From Michael McDonald to Christopher Cross and everything in between, visitors can prepare to dance the night away with smooth tunes. Attendees can also get into the spirit of the high seas by donning their best nautical attire and captain’s hats for an evening to remember. Shows will take place at 8:30 p.m. on select weekends and each ticket will also include one handcrafted specialty cocktail. An “Arctic Bundle” package is also available and includes one ticket to The Docksiders – Yacht Rock Experience, one handcrafted specialty cocktail and one souvenir captain’s hat as well as entry to their sister attraction Minus5° ICEBAR, one handcrafted specialty cocktail at the ice lounge and a boozy Dole Whip treat, to-go. 

“With 1923 LIVE, my goal is to keep the small lounge act era alive and well on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Bowman. “With the current emphasis on A-list headliners and mega-star residencies, the historic lounge rooms of yesteryear seem to be disappearing from the Strip. There is so much local talent deserving the spotlight, so this venue will be the new home for these sorts of intimate, live performances. We cannot wait to launch these two residencies when we open in May and look forward to adding more in the future.”  

1923’s second location will occupy a large, inviting space decked out in Prohibition-style, 20s-inspired décor situated above Minus5º ICEBAR at Grand Canal Shoppes.
