SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (May 2026) – YESCO, the 106-year-old company known for creating, repairing and maintaining internationally recognizable signs, announces it has appointed Joel Warden as its new vice president and northwest regional manager. With more than 30 years of experience in sign production, project management and sales leadership as well as a 15-year career with YESCO, Warden is renowned for his ability to foster collaboration and build high-performing operational teams that consistently surpass objectives.
Warden’s portfolio includes some of Utah’s most recognizable landmarks and branding initiatives, including leading multi-location efforts for Bank of Utah and Altabank, managing the installation of prominent LED pylon signs at Traverse Mountain Outlets and Valley Grove and overseeing the reconstruction of the iconic 80-foot-tall bowling pin on Salt Lake City’s State Street. He succeeds Robert L. Short, who announced his retirement from the role after a distinguished tenure and will continue on with YESCO as a fleet manager.
Warden’s education includes a bachelor’s in communications from the University of Utah and a Master of Business Administration from Brigham Young University. He currently resides in Utah with his wife and their six children and two grandchildren. Notably, two of his children have followed his professional path and are currently building their own careers with YESCO.
“After 15 years with YESCO, I’ve developed a deep respect for the craft of signage and the teams behind it,” said Warden. “This next step is really about building on that foundation and carrying the company’s legacy in the sign business forward.”
“Joel has a knack for both the technical side and the people side of the business,” said Jeff Young, executive vice president, YESCO. “A balance like that is hard to find and will serve our northwest region well.”
