TOMORROW, THE MOB MUSEUM TO PRESENT “VEGAS ABDUCTION: THE INSIDE STORY OF THE KEVYN WYNN KIDNAPPING”

WHAT:
In one of the most brazen crimes of the 1990s, two masked men kidnapped Kevyn Wynn, daughter of Strip casino mogul Steve Wynn, from her Las Vegas condo. The high-profile case fell into the lap of federal prosecutor Tom O’Connell. Now retired, O’Connell will join the Museum in-person as he recounts the dramatic rescue of Wynn’s daughter and how investigators tracked down the perpetrators. The Mob Museum will also provide a livestream of this presentation on its website.

INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Tom O’Connell is the former senior litigation counsel and chief of the narcotics and violent crimes section of the United States Attorney’s Office in Las Vegas. He is the host of a new, six-part podcast about the 1993 kidnapping of Kevyn Wynn, daughter of Steve Wynn, and the extortion of $1.45 million dollars from Wynn and his Mirage Hotel and Casino. O’Connell was the lead prosecutor throughout the investigation and trial of the case, one of many highly profile cases he tried during his tenure in Las Vegas.  He also developed several programs in coordination with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, targeting felons and firearms, methamphetamine labs and interstate trafficking of juveniles for prostitution.
