SOUTHFORK RANCH HOSTS THE DALLAS CLASSIC
CAR SHOW, AUCTION ON FEB. 8

DALLAS (February 2020) – The first female classic car auction team in history will auction classic cars at the Dallas Classic Car Show on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the legendary Southfork Ranch. Classic cars from 1917 to the present day will be displayed for car enthusiasts, with some slated to be auctioned off to collectors and enthusiasts. The Dallas Classic will also auction off autographed sports memorabilia to benefit the Van Alstyne, Texas, Special Olympics.

Among the highly desirable cars up for auction will be a 1967 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow owned by the Oil Empress of Dallas, Nancy Hamon. Larry Hagman, who played “J.R. Ewing” on the long-running television show “Dallas,” drove the vehicle while filming scenes for the show at Southfork Ranch. Hagman also mentioned the car in his autobiographical book, “Hello Darlin’: Tall (And Absolutely True) Tales About My Life.”

Guests will enjoy live entertainment by The Texas BluesMen A Tribute To “Jake and Elwood Blues” band, performing from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Also making an appearance, Burton Gilliam from the movie “Blazing Saddles” will greet guests throughout the day. And on display, the Batmobile, Batcycle, Bluesmobile, Eleanor from the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds” and a DeLorean sports car.
