WHAT:

SAHARA Las Vegas invites guests to attend “Running of the Horses,” a one-of-a-kind derby viewing party at AZILO Ultra Pool. Featuring live coverage of the derby on the 240-foot LED video wall, performances by DJs Roger Gangi and FlowFly as well as refreshing libations including Old Forester Bourbon Kentucky Peach Mojitos, the Las Vegas Strip’s most desirable new pool will provide an ideal destination for sports and entertainment fans. Guests can also don complimentary derby hats provided by Old Forester Bourbon while supplies last.

To get into the competitive spirit, visitors are also invited to participate in the poolside “Turtle Derby” game. Participants will use water guns to propel miniature inflatable turtles across the pool as they race derby-style. The first team to get their turtle to the other side of the pool will win and advance to the next round of the bracket-style tournament. “Turtle Derby” winners will receive a trophy and other prizes from Old Forester Bourbon. Guests can also watch the official 2022 “Kentucky Turtle Derby” airing on the 240-foot video wall. Prop bets will also be available through the DraftKings mobile sites.

From EDM to hip hop, rock and four-on-the-floor house, DJ Roger Gangi plays a wide array of genres and brings lively energy to his unforgettable performances. A resident DJ on the Las Vegas Strip, he performs more than 200 shows a year.

DJ FlowFly is a French DJ and producer currently residing in Las Vegas. As one of the top hip hop and open-format DJs in the world, FlowFly has made a name for himself with local and international audiences alike. Attendees will enjoy his hit single with R&B singer JR Castro, “Rub off on You.”  He has also performed with notable musicians, including Tyga, Nas, French Montana, Lil Jon, Migos, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Omarion, Lumidee and many more.
