FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEXT STOP ON FERRARO’S SUMMER REGIONAL MENU SERIES:
SARDEGNA, AUG. 9 – 22

Prix fixe dinner menus showcasing Italy’s best culinary regions rotate
every two weeks through summer.

LAS VEGAS (August 2019) – This summer, Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar offers a way to travel the flavors of Italy without leaving Las Vegas with its Summer Regional Menu Series, a changing rotation of prix fixe menus inspired by Italy’s most renowned culinary regions. Each four-course menu is offered for a superb summertime value of $49 per person; wines selected to complement each menu are offered at special prices as well.

The next Summer Regional Menu spotlights Sardegna—known as Sardinia in English—and launches Aug. 9 and continues through Aug. 22. The island of Sardegna is Italy’s second largest (after Sicilia) and is home to twice as many sheep as people. Consequently, sheep’s milk pecorino cheese and local variations—such as Fiore Sardo—is ubiquitous. Also unique to Sardegna are distinctive pasta shapes such as culurgiones, a filled pasta, and the gnocchi-like malloreddus. A deep-fried semolina dumpling, called seadas, serves as a popular Sardinian dessert finished off with honey and cheese.

Ferraro’s full Sardegna-inspired menu follows:

Appetizer (choose one)

Burrida alla Cagliaritana
Sweet and sour monkfish, walnut pesto
-or-
Pecorino e Piselli
Fiore Sardo cheese flan, pea stew, fried egg

Alghero Rosso, Tanca Farra, 2011 ($62)
Marchese Di VillaMaria Rosso, 2013 ($110)
Vermentino, Sella e Mosca, 2013 ($58)

The last region to be featured during the Summer Regional Menu Series will be Toscana (August 23 – September 6). This region’s menu will be announced shortly.
