AREA15 ANNOUNCES DAN PELSON AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

LAS VEGAS (March 2019)AREA15, Las Vegas’ new immersive entertainment, retail and dining destination opening this December, has announced Dan Pelson as chief operating officer. Pelson brings more than 12 years of executive experience from companies such as Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and Sony Corporation of America. In his role, Pelson is responsible for the daily operation of AREA15, overseeing operations, leasing, marketing and business development. He
reports to Winston Fisher, chief executive officer of AREA15 and partner at Fisher Brothers.

During his tenure working for the music industry, Pelson utilized data-driven methods to aid global artists is delivering a wide spectrum of digital and physical products.

His career began at Sun Microsystems, where he was quick to recognize the consumer potential of the internet leading him to many other entrepreneurial endeavors. He founded Word.com and then launched Bolt.com and eventually uPlayMe—an entertainment-based social networking app acquired by a major music label, ultimately leading to his career in the music industry.

“I’m excited to be involved in a project that’s developing a true, physical experiential destination that doesn’t currently exist in the marketplace,” Pelson remarked. “As the entertainment industry evolves, it’s rewarding to be a part of something that is the first to provide consumers with immersive entertainment and commerce, emotionally connecting them with how they spend their time and money and leaving them creatively inspired.”

Pelson received his bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in political science and a master’s degree in business in administration from New York University. “His background and visionary abilities are a natural fit for AREA15,” says Winston Fisher, chief executive officer, AREA15 and partner, Fisher Brothers. “He is accustomed to working in dynamic and innovation-driven industries and we know he will be extremely effective with overseeing operations at AREA15.”

AREA15 is an experiential retail and entertainment complex offering live events, immersive activations, art installations and much more. The complex will attract locals and tourists of all ages seeking an ever-changing landscape of new and unique experiences. Located minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, AREA15 will open in late 2019. The anchor tenant, Meow Wolf, will create interactive art activations to transport audiences of all ages into fantastic realms of story, exploration and discovery. Additional space throughout the 200,000 square foot structure will be a platform for a variety of other experiential and retail businesses, yet to be announced. A 40,000-square foot indoor and outdoor event space — ideally suited for live music, festivals, corporate events, private parties, esports tournaments and much more — will host up to 300 events per year. Finally, the backbone tying everything together is The SPINE, an ever-changing corridor filled with one-of-a-kind art installations, engaging brand activations,
unique commerce and inspiring food and beverage offerings. AREA15 is the development project led by a joint venture between real estate development firm Fisher Brothers and creative agency Beneville Studios, both of New York. AREA15 is located on W.
