JW MARRIOTT LAS VEGAS RESORT & SPA TO HOST VITALANT BLOOD DRIVE, MARCH 30, 31 

All Blood Types Needed, Every Donation Counts

LAS VEGAS (March 2024) – JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa invites the community to its next Vitalant blood drive on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. All blood types are in urgent need with emphasis on type “O” which is most frequently used because of its universal qualities.  O-positive is compatible with any of the positive blood types. O-negative can help patients with any blood type.

“Every two seconds, a patient needs blood.  We welcome all eligible donors to give the gift of life this March. And, we want to encourage those who have never donated to try it.  To put it plainly, we need the next wave of donors right now.  A very small percentage of our population is donating,” said Mike Doria, communications manager at Vitalant Nevada.

March is Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month, a reminder that regular donations also support those born with a blood disorder and require routine transfusions.

Donors who give during the community blood drive at JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa will receive:

• A chance to win one of four $5,000 gift cards as part of Vitalant’s celestial giveaway.
• An “egg-citing” bonus $20 gift card when opting into Vitalant’s donor rewards store for donating during Easter weekend.
