LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA (March 2022) – Evolution Expeditions, the Colorado River’s best in class kayaking and hiking tour operator, announces Spanish-language tours are now available. From three-hour tours to full-day excursions, Evolution Expeditions offers unique adventures led by Spanish-speaking guides who educate guests about geological features, spectacular wildlife, hidden beaches, hot springs and historic buildings and structures such as the Hoover Dam.

“We are thrilled to offer Spanish speakers the opportunity to learn about the incredible Black Canyon and Colorado River with our new tours,” said Chris Cherney, owner, Evolution Expeditions. “We have two incredible Spanish-speaking guides on our staff that give in-depth commentary and insight about this stunning geological area for guests taking our tours.”

All three Evolution Expeditions tours are available in Spanish, including:

Kayak Hoover Dam and Hot Springs Hike – Featuring approximately seven hours of paddling, hiking and marveling in the beauty of the Black Canyon, this tour provides a fish-eye view of the massive Hoover Dam. The adventure starts with a descent down the original road carved into the canyon walls in the 1930s. Guests will paddle from the base of the Hoover Dam down the Colorado River to view impressive waterfalls, learn about local wildlife, kayak in the breathtaking Emerald Cave and soak in geothermal hot spring pools hidden within side-canyons. All participants will enjoy a catered lunch, as well as bottled water, juice and snacks along the way. This tour is available for $229 per person.

Kayak Emerald Cave – Offering unparalleled views of primitive volcanic canyon walls, as well as a catered lunch on a remote beach, this tour encompasses approximately four hours of adventure along the Colorado River. Guests will paddle around giant volcanic boulders at the opening of Black Canyon, witness the remarkable green water of Emerald Cave, hike up a hill to enjoy a spectacular view of the entire canyon and swim by a remote beach, all while learning about the wildlife on both Nevada’s and Arizona’s shorelines. This tour is available for $139 per person.

Kayak Emerald Cave Express – Featuring three hours of spectacular scenery, the Emerald Cave Express tour starts at Willow Beach, where guests will be transported back in time to learn about the historic sites along the Colorado River. Participants will venture into the Black Canyon, paddle past landmarks from the 1920-era Hoover Dam project and enjoy stunning photo opportunities of the glowing green water inside Emerald Cave. Bottled water, juice and snacks are also provided. This tour is available for $99 per person.

In addition, Evolution Expeditions also offers fully customized private tours and group rates on kayaking tours for Spanish speakers. For Spanish tour availability for regularly scheduled tours or private group tours, call (702) 259-5292.
