LAS VEGAS (October 2025) – As part of its ongoing commitment to education and community engagement through its SAHARA Cares program, SAHARA Las Vegas is partnering with Martin-Harris Construction to support the inaugural “Business of Her” conference on Saturday, Nov. 15. Together, the two organizations are expanding access to this groundbreaking event by removing financial barriers for women leaders and college students from across Nevada.
As part of the partnership, Martin-Harris Construction’s contributions will fuel the “Building HER Future in Nevada” grant, which funds conference tickets and travel expenses for students from both the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the University of Nevada. Designed to help women thrive as leaders, including within the construction industry, the grant emphasizes mentorship, confidence-building and career advancement.
SAHARA Las Vegas will provide more than $4,000 in complimentary hotel accommodations for University of Nevada students as well as accommodations for female leaders from Martin-Harris Construction’s Northern Nevada office.
Presented by Alexis Meruelo, chief vision and purpose officer for SAHARA Las Vegas, “Business of Her” is a one-day conference designed to empower women with the tools, resources and connections needed to advance their careers. The event will also feature breakout discussions, networking opportunities and a $10,000 business grant competition in partnership with Aristocrat Gaming.
The conference brings together a dynamic roster of trailblazing speakers, including Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley; Latin actress and TV host Angélica Vale; Lauren Lopez, chief people officer of the National Women’s Soccer League; Nikki Fargas, president of the Las Vegas Aces; Ericka Aviles, founder of Latinas in Power; Azin Radsan van Alebeek, co-founder and general partner of Emmeline Ventures; Catherine Gray, executive producer of “Show Her the Money”; Jes Wolfe, CEO and chairwoman of Rebel Girls; Juanny Romero, CEO and founder of Mothership Coffee Roasters; Moncy Trejo, digital marketing and branding expert; and Lauralyn Sandoval, vice president of gaming strategy and business development for Aristocrat Gaming.
