SALT LAKE CITY (September 2025) – YESCO, the 105-year-old company known for creating, repairing and maintaining internationally recognizable signs, announces it successfully completed the refurbishment of the iconic signage at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. The project, part of the stadium’s Lasting Legacy Campaign, included restoring the signature building signage to its original brilliance while integrating modern programmable LED technology to ensure its legacy endures for future generations.

As part of this comprehensive restoration, YESCO meticulously gathered exact field patterns of the “Rose Bowl” letters and the signature “Rose” to facilitate precise LED production. The project involved removing and responsibly disposing of outdated LED materials, followed by detailed refurbishment of the existing metal components. This included a light scuff and paint preparation before repainting the “Rose Bowl” letters in their original green color and the “Rose” emblem in its vibrant, authentic hues. Additionally, YESCO repainted the exterior metal components of both the letters and the emblem to ensure a cohesive and refreshed appearance.

A notable highlight of the project was the installation of a new, state-of-the-art programmable RGB exposed LED technology. This modern upgrade allows for independent operation of each letter and the “Rose” emblem, enabling dynamic and customizable light shows to celebrate the stadium’s legacy. The result is a stunning visual centerpiece that preserves the iconic charm of the Rose Bowl Stadium signage while offering contemporary functionality to enhance its appeal.

“The Rose Bowl Stadium is a cherished American landmark, and YESCO is deeply honored to have played a role in preserving its iconic signage,” said Jeff Young, executive vice president, YESCO. “Our team worked with precision and care to ensure the restoration honored the original design while incorporating cutting-edge technology that elevates its presence for future generations.”
