Neon Museum’s ‘Brilliant!’ Experience PR Campaign

Winner of 2018 Public Relations Society of America Pinnacle Award

THE PROJECT

The Neon Museum “re-electrified” more than 40 broken neon signs from yesteryear without using a single plug. The award-winning museum launched, “Brilliant!,” an audiovisual immersion presentation using projection mapping technology to reanimate iconic vintage signs housed in a previously underutilized space. The show would become the first to use projection mapping to arrive at a shared augmented reality experience. With a carefully curated soundtrack paying homage to Las Vegas’ history, this new show is now a must-see.

THE RESULTS

By securing a first look for the Associated Press, which applied their online, print, photography and video resources to the story, Vox created a grand opening press campaign that generated major national broadcast, print and online stories. With the recent publicity boon, daily attendance has increased by 20 percent.
