LAS VEGAS (July 2019)  Kids as young as eight can now rev their engines and jump into the driver’s seat! Vegas Superkarts (VSK) by Exotics Racing added brand-new junior go-karts designed exclusively for first-time drivers ages eight* through 14, making it possible for younger kids, tweens and teens to have the exhilarating experience of driving on their own.

Considered the safest go-karts in the industry for children, the 4-stroke, gas-powered Sodikart LR5 includes adjustable steering wheel, pedals and seat to ensure the driver is comfortably and safely secured inside the vehicle. Reaching speeds of 25 MPH, they will join Vegas Superkarts’ fleet of gas-powered Sodikarts SR5 270 CC (one seat) and 2drive (two seats) which accommodate drivers age 14 and up.

“We make every effort to make this a safe experience for every driver. This means when a junior go-kart is booked, the track will be cleared to let junior go-kart drivers race which will keep the little kids separated from the 14 and up drivers,” says Romain Thievin, co-founder, Vegas Superkarts.

Vegas Superkarts features the city’s longest and fastest outdoor go-kart racetrack. Designed Thievin, the 2,100-foot-long outdoor asphalt track includes 14 turns and sharp hairpins, fast acceleration straightaways and professional safety barriers.

Before guests arrive to the track, they may download the Vegas Superkarts app via iPhone and Android. The app features online registration and live rankings which enable guests to compare their times and ranks against past drivers’ records.

From there, a safety briefing video is presented to instruct guests what to expect. Once they receive their helmets, it’s time to drive! Guests and passengers make their way out to the purpose-built racetrack where they strap in and prepare for their race. Up to 12 go-karts can simultaneously drive on the track.

VSK is also the only track in Las Vegas to participate in the Sodi World Series (SWS), which hosts go-kart races throughout the year and around the world within the SWS’ network of tracks.Click here for more information.

Junior go-kart pricing begins at $30 per race and per person. Click here for additional pricing and information.

*For the junior go-karts, drivers must be at least eight years old and 50” or taller.
