GIRLS ON THE RUN SELECTED AS EXCLUSIVE CHARITY PARTNER FOR RED ROCK RUNNING COMPANY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAS VEGAS (JANUARY 2019) – Red Rock Running Company (RRRC) has selected local nonprofit organization, Girls on the Run Las Vegas (GOTR), as its exclusive charity partner through 2020. RRRC is a local Southern Nevada specialty running store offering an array of brand-name shoes, clothes, gear and group runs. As part of the sponsorship, RRRC will invite customers to donate to GOTR at every sale through Dec. 31, 2020.

“Supporting and encouraging our local running community is what we love to do most. We’re thrilled to partner with Girls on the Run as their program teaches young girls the value of fitness and gives them the confidence to be active through their adult lives,” says Mark Jimenez, owner, RRRC.

In addition, RRRC will provide the following support to the GOTR 2019 Spring program:

  • Provide adult-sized running shoes to girls in the GOTR program.
  • Host professional shoe fittings at sponsored locations so each girl receives properly fitted shoes to enhance her performance in the program.
  • RRRC’s weekly run club members will have the opportunity to register as running buddies for GOTR’s Spring 5K.

“We are overjoyed about being selected as the official charity partner of this wonderful local running resource,” said Kim Boschee, executive director, GOTR. “With their sponsorship, they demonstrate their dedication not only to the fitness of our community, but also to building the next generation of strong, confident and healthy women.”

Each year, the Girls on the Run hosts two 5K events, gathering hundreds of young girls throughout the community to accomplish one common goal—to be healthy, confident and joyful. Each girl is paired with an adult Running Buddy who runs alongside them during the 5K. This celebratory, non-competitive event marks the conclusion of a season-long, experienced-based curriculum designed to develop confidence, friendship, strength and emotional and spiritual health in young girls—all while integrating running. The program provides participants with a sense of accomplishment and instills the value of goal-setting at a young age.
